Dear All,

today our new GREAT ESF call for proposals to support a range of networking activities has been issued.

In particular you will find calls to support the following:

a) Conferences - see

b) Workshops - see

c) Longer Exchange visits - see (Note that for short exchange visits only, proposals can be made at any time.)

d) We also invite ideas and suggestions for a Training School to be held before end 2012 - see

The links above provide full details for each funding opportunity together with the link to the proposal submission page.

The deadlines for receipt of proposals are *Monday 5th December 2011* (@ 18.00 GMT). All proposals will be evaluated by the GREAT ESF Steering Committee with replies by email to proposers made by mid January 2012.

For this open call, proposals are welcome to support networking in any area within the science scope of the GREAT programme. Please check the list of previously supported calls on the wiki page as proposals covering similar topics to those recently supported will need to demonstrate a clear additional value.

In addition meetings following on, or building on, earlier GREAT supported meetings will be welcome, assuming that the need is well argued and the previous final meeting report (see from that earlier meeting is available.

General information concerning the GREAT programme is available at

Yours, Nicholas Walton
