Description: This list supports communication and collaboration around EdgeLab, an experimental research and development unit based in the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge.

EdgeLab is the continuation and deepening of the Technology, Knowledge, Society, and Human Development strand of the HSS Framework. While the HSS initiative promoted interdisciplinary dialogue across the School of the Humanities and Social Sciences, EdgeLab evolves this agenda into a dedicated knowledge ecology — one that works with institutions, not on them, and explores upstream questions of epistemology, ontology, and systems change.

EdgeLab brings together researchers, practitioners, and partners interested in responsible innovation, inclusive knowledge systems, and the social, educational, and ethical dimensions of technologies like generative AI. The mailing list will be used to share updates, events, publications, and opportunities to engage.
